The Oboe & Daisies watercolor-style illustration of an oboe with a beautiful daisy bouquet growing out of the top is my way of describing the sound of the oboe. I was a professional oboist for decades and performed in various ensembles from trios to full orchestras. The sound of the oboe can be compared to a beautiful floral bouquet because both can have expressive color palettes and both can have delicate complexities. The versatility of the oboe’s sound in an orchestra can sometimes be like a formal vase of deep red roses and silvery eucalyptus and other times like a dreamy bouquet of pale pink tulips with white fluffy peonies. 

This illustration is perfect for wall art for music studios or nurseries, greeting cards, concert programs, and would be a wonderful gift for oboists, music students and teachers, and music lovers. A bonus illustration of the oboe without the daisies is included.
